The Municipality of Gostivar announces that an agreement has been reached with the Independent Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture in Gostivar, for the payment of K-15 for all teachers.
According to the municipality, the payment will be made according to an agreed schedule by the end of April.
“During the period when the Government issued subsidies and when, according to the legal deadline, the K-15 payment was supposed to be made by 31.12.2025, the Municipality of Gostivar was led by a Government trustee. At the same time, the subsidies issued were intended only for primary schools, not including other educational institutions, which directly influenced the failure to make the payment within the legal deadline. After the current leadership of the Municipality of Gostivar took responsibility, a constructive dialogue was held with the Independent Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture – Gostivar and a gentleman’s agreement was reached, according to which the K-15 payment for all teachers, including those from institutions that were not covered by subsidies, will be made according to an agreed schedule by the end of April this year,” the municipality’s announcement states.
