The four members of the Albanian family you see in the photo are the people who lost their lives from a gas leak in their home in the Lucca area of Italy.
The victims are Arti Kola, 48 years old, the father of the family; Jonida Kola, 42 years old, the mother; Hajdar Kola, 22 years old, the son of the family and Jhesika Kola, 15 years old, the daughter of the family.
They were known and loved by the entire Porcari community, and were called an integrated and valued family by all who knew them.
The Mayor of Porcari, Leonardo Fornaciari, expressed his condolences and sadness over this terrible event, saying: “An entire family, the Kola family, lost their lives in their home, probably due to carbon monoxide that exploded from a faulty boiler. We are all shocked and saddened by this tragic event.”
The victims were known for their commitment and daily lives. Arti Kola was a worker in a paint factory, while Jonida Kola, his wife, was a housewife. Their son, Hajdari, worked as an electrician in a local company, while Jessica, their daughter, was a student.
