From 2022 to the end of 2025, a total of 105,671 children were born in Kosovo, according to data published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS).
According to the latest statistics, during 2025, 27,418 children were born, of which 14,135 were males and 13,284 were females.
This number shows a slight increase compared to 2024, when the number of births was 26,549, of which 13,772 were males and 12,779 were females.
The year 2023 marked the lowest number of births in the recent period, with 25,586 children, of whom 13,229 were males and 12,357 were females. Meanwhile, the year 2022 marked a higher level of births, with 26,118 children, of whom 13,317 were males and 12,801 were females.
KAS data show that although the number of births has undergone slight changes from year to year, the overall trend remains stable, reflecting demographic trends and slight natural changes in the country.
These statistics provide a clear overview of demographic developments in Kosovo and may be important for social, health policies and long-term population planning.
