An attempted burglary during the night in Rovato, Italy, ended with the arrest of a 32-year-old Albanian suspect for the crime, thanks to the intervention of the Carabinieri.

The incident occurred at around 4:30 am on February 7, when a patrol from the Chiari Unit, passing along ‘Via Galdina’, noticed a man dressed entirely in black and with his face covered, trying to force open the front door of the “Amici” pizzeria.

Upon seeing the officers, the man tried to flee on foot, but the Carabinieri quickly caught up with him and arrested him after a short chase.

During a personal search, the burglary tool that had been used to force the door was found and seized.

The 32-year-old’s identity was confirmed as B.E., an Albanian living in Cologne, Germany, with a criminal record.

Thanks to the quick reporting by the pizzeria owner and analysis of security camera video, which captured the attacker trying to enter the bar, he was arrested on charges of attempted robbery.
